If you want something easy to adjust, look into the Kammok Python Straps, which don't stretch & are very convenient to set up. Otherwise, contact ArrowHead Equipment & have Paul make up a set of straps (I prefer the double looped ends); however, if you do this, you'll have to teach her how to do a Marlin Spike/toggle on the straps.

Thanks, Boomer. I think Kammok is based here in Dallas. Maybe I can pick up the Pythons from them. Sounds like a good and simple way to go. Though that marlin spike is cool ...

my19, you may also want to swap out the carabiners. The ones that come on the DN are heavy. Get a climbing grade wiregate 'biner and it'll be much lighter.

I'll second the python straps. I really like using them. I also switched out the ENO biners. Oh and for anyone that might not catch the REI sale, I did a lot of hunting around for a good online deal a few months ago and found the following site. I got mine for $50 at the time but looks like they are even cheaper right now...
