The original post is 5 months old, but here goes: I use Dutch quilt hooks over the ridgeline at each end of my GL3. (Same principle as triangle thingies, I think.) The only time I have had cold spots is when I change position..seems I usually pull down one side(of the underquilt) or the other when I move, so I have to manually pull it back up, usually from the inside of my WBBB. (I somehow catch a knee or shoulder on the UQ suspension when I roll over.) In my experience, UQ's do take some fiddling.

Worked the kinks out a long time ago, no cold spots anymore. It's been nothing but a smooth ride!

I am about to trade for a greylock 3... What were the cold spots caused by? Any other tips for me?

For those of us that will be using a JRB UQ on WBBB soon, what did you do to work out the kinks?
I fixed the cold spots by making sure that the UQ was pulled up properly under me, making sure there was no air getting in between the hammock and the quilt. There is no "perfect" way to do this, you just have to fiddle around with it until you get it the way you most comfortable in. Mess around with the suspension.

I just got back from an overnighter with my Greylock 3 and it got down into the low 20's. I stayed toasty warm.
One thing that I have noticed on the WBBB is that if the shelf is not pulled out very far or if too much weight is in it it will compress the underquilt on that side, and that is wasting much needed warmth. So make sure to get some good tension on that thang or keep it light. I seem to use it for everything and it is probably a bad habit.
