    11x10 tarp w/WBBB

    Greetings everyone,

I'm wondering if there is any concensus regarding the use of the JrB 11x10 with the WBBB. I've been using the Gear Guide Woodland Camo 9x9 hung corner to corner for years with my Hennessey products, and it has worked fairly well but I've always wanted more coverage along the length of the hammock, especially at the head and foot where the fabric narrows.

Along with my new hammock I'd like to upgrade my tarp to something with more coverage and pitching options, and the Jacks always come first to my mind because I'm a big fan of their products. Is the 11x10 a good match, or is there some other tarp out there that I should be considering?

    Thanks in advance,
    B.B.

11'x10' is the same size as the Warbonnet Superfly. So I don't see a reason why the JRB 11'x10' wouldn't work with your Blackbird. The only issue is that the "doors" on the JRB version are formed with the 10' dimension as the ridgeline.

    Cheers

I have the tarp and it will work fine with the WBBB. It's a big tarp and has many pitch options. It would make decent winter tarp as well. For me it's only draw back is that it is on the heavy side. If that is not a concern, I think it will make a great tarp.

I really don't use mine much any more, as I have serveral other tarps to choose from. I could be talked out of mine

i've had the jrb 10x11.... great build solid gear.
a lot of pitch options... which meant TOO MANY options for me.

i got a warbonnet superfly.... great/best geometry for all season, esp. cold weather & winter hanging.... the doors close up great.... good price, reliable construction.....

wilderness logics old man winter is good, so is the ahe hardrock tarp.

its all silnylon... and i recommend all the vendors quality.

I have slept through an all night deluge once or twice with the WBBB under a JRB 11x10 rectangular tarp. Kept me very dry. And I love all the pitch options, love a Baker hut.

Like Rip said: it's all sil-nylon, so with quality vendors probably does not matter much. I see the WB MambaJamba is a "hex" cut, so it weighs only 13.5 oz compared to the JRBs 19 ( but less coverage).

Is the WB Superfly retangular? Because I notice that, at the same 11x10 dimensions, it is 19 oz, same as the JRB.

pretty sure the bottom edge of a superly is ~13'--- which give that real nice door closure.
