FS: Dyneema / Spectra Vectran tarp tie out sets

    A couple of new sets:

$23 shipped US with Delivery Confirmation (tm)

    1.6 oz Total

    Four:
    10ft / 3m 400lb /200kg yellow 1.75mm D/ S with D/S prusik loops, ready to larks head* to your tarp tie outs

    +

    Two:
10ft / 3m 450lb /200kg tan 1.75mm Vectran with Vectran prusik loops, ready to larks head* to your ridgeline tie outs

+6 spare polyester prusik loops, should the included slip with age.

All cordage is new. Loops are all there. Prusiks on every line for adjustability. No knots to tie.

I wrap the ridgeline around the tree, form a bight (ie loop), and pull it through the spliced loop at the end of the ridge line, and insert a toggle. Add $3 for a pair of mini-biners to use as toggles, or because you prefer to clip. (I use $.05 shower curtain rings)

*larks head: just stick the loop of prusic--a bight-- through a tie out, and then bring the rest of the tie-out line through that loop to secure it. Done, and easy to undo.

    Hi DemostiX,

I'd buy a set, but I only just made my own a week or so ago.

Can you describe this in more detail, are you tying the bight, and how do you manage adjusting tension?

I've been using a continuous ridgeline with dutchware, but unless I always hang in similar circumstances, (I don't) it can get a bit painful getting the tarp central between the trees.

Yes, that fine photo shows it. Tired Feet in another thread reports using found sticks for years.

    Adjust tension?

The line is on a single furnished prusik. Per last, * sentence of OP's listing.

$15 + $3 shipping and paypal fees. (Not even 1.5oz mails cheap anymore, unless it is all paper)
