    camo ripstop

I am going to get around 14 yards of fabric to make a couple of tarps and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this fabric:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/180724582126...#ht_865wt_1037

Would that be a good fabric to use, or are there better/lighter alternatives?

I was also wondering if anyone had suggestions for camo fabric to use in making quilts, a pillow and a hammock(they don't have to be the same weight). The last question I had is if there were any good marpat sources that didn't have a cotton blend. In a perfect world I would have two sets of diy tarps, hammocks, quilts and pillows that are fully camo (one marpat and the other similar to claytor hammocks). Maybe even some camo no-see-um netting as well lol. any help would be appreciated. I keep finding cotton blends (which I don't want) and any help would be great.

A lighter alternative would be Silnylon, perhaps the most common lightweight backpacker tarp material. It's nearly impossible to find in camo, but you can get Olive Brown and Forest Green.

That said, the fabric you linked to should make a great tarp, just a tad heavier than silnylon. And that eBay seller is great.

That same seller has had some lightly coated 1.1oz woodland camo ripstop in the past, not sure if she has it anymore. It was useable for quilts.

Here's a link to camo fabrics. Note the camo netting close to the bottom of the page.

Rachel (fabricsupplier) is good to deal with. She even offered flat 5$ shipping to hammock forums members for a while, might still.

I bought some awesome diamond sil from her in red.

Does anyone have a source for 1.1 oz calendered Marpat ripstop (either uncoated or DWR)? I want it to make a quilt set but can't find it anywhere I realize that this is a longshot, but I wanted to try to make a quilt set that is effective to lower temps than the poncho liner set would go to.
