    My Ultralight BIAS wwm

Well, I wanted to go as light as I could without giving up to much comfort. I think I have achieved that goal. I like cuben, but decided against it for a hammock. I almost got a Nano-7, but chose the WWM with double knotty mod b/c I felt it would give me a much better hang for just a couple ounces penalty.

The WWM came in the mail today, and the first thing I did was remove the amsteel continuous loops and attached my dynaglide whoopie slings directly to the hammock. Those will connect directly to my carbon toggles (that I got from bias) and 5' tree straps. I also added a dynaglide adjustable ridgeline. The only hardware in the entire set up is the carbon fiber toggles. This is the lightest suspension I could come up with. I of course didnt think it up, but got it from many of you here, at hammock forums. Thank you.

BIAS 52"x11' WWM with double knotty mod
    dynaglide whoopies
    dynaglide adjustable ridgeline
    stuff sack it came with
    7.7 ounces
I plan on replacing the paracord and linelock on the stuff sack with a much smaller one for a small additional weight savings.

I would say this is very competitive with ultralight ground dwellers, considering that my tarp is my Golite Poncho and also acts as my rain gear and pack cover, I dont count it in my shelter weight. Next up......Underquilts lol

btw, Brian and Shane were great to deal with @ BIAS

    Sorry, forgot to add

the weight of my tree straps w/ toggles 2.65 ounces

Thats a grand total of 10.35 for hammock and suspension.

btw, I'm new here and this is my fist hammock. I welcome any, and all suggestions and hints -Eric

That's a great setup! Only thing is that to kill an ounce or two you might go with a non-adjustable ridgeline and/or work in that ridgeline to be your tarp ridgeline as well.

Congratulations. I have a similar rig. You now have one of the lightest setups around. I put my in a Cuben Mini stuff sack from Zpacks. Fit wells. I ordered the Knotty mod on one side only. For me only needed it on one side of the hammock (foot-end). I also replaced the shock cord with lighter weight cord and used smaller cordlocks. My ridgeline is made of lash-it. Now all you need is a light weight bug net.

Seek- that is a good thought. After I find the distance i like on the ridge line, I'll swap it for a non adjustable one.

Sidewinder- I like your idea of switching out the cord and cord locks on the knotty mod for lighter ones. I'm looking at bugnets now. I want a full one, just don't know if I want tulle or nano-see-umm.
I assume there is no see umms in Florida and north Carolina... So I guess tulle wouldn't do me much good

I would get the noseeum net. It's going to be a little heavier but the tulle is not that durable, IMO. I have a tulle bug sock and it is light for sure, but I've gotten some tears in it without trying too hard.
