Per title, that's what I'm using, so far without fault.

I have a spliced loop at the ends of each ridge-line. The loop gets passed around the tree. Then a bight (loop) in the line is barely pulled through the loop. A toggle is inserted, and the line is pulled tight. A prusik on the line, already attached to the end of the tarp and to the line, adjusts the location of the tarp.

Without pictures, this is about what the original Dutch clip did for strap suspensions.

So far, I am having no problem. What am I missing in security for simplicity, ease, and minimum expense?. The toggle is a just an inverted " J "of aluminum rod, a few grams in weight.
