    GI Poncho Liner Modifications

Howdy folks. As per reading on here I heard some folks use GI Poncho Liners as a summer TQ. So I picked one up and got it stuffed in to a stuff sack I feel happy with (as far as size goes, weight isn't too bad, better than my Kelty sleeping bag at least! ).

I do not have sewing skills, but my g/f does.

I am wondering on how I can modify this GI poncho liner to have a foot box, preferably without any sewing involved. However, I suppose I could ask my gf to sew me in one.

Was wondering what you folks that use/have/had a GI poncho liner do. Thanks!

Hey Dead, just noticed your reply on my blog post. Don't let the sewing intimidate ya...its not that hard at all. Just straight lines.

To me the most aggravating part is getting everything pinned up but event thats not too bad if you have a good work surface.

BTW, I gave mine another test drive over the weekend. Low was 59, had my PLTQ and full length 5 oz climashield UQ for hammock insulation. I was wearing on socks, a long pair of sleep pants and a long sleeve t shirt. Slept like a rock and wasn't even remotely chilly. Didn't notice it had gotten cool over night until I got up around 7:00 to go mark my territory...
