An interesting endorsement on MSN to be sure but I think I would modify this a little bit.
What would you put in this pack?

So many trees, so little time...
Fixed it for ya.
A Hennessy Explorer probably wouldn't be my choice, but it's funny that we have leaked into the Apocalypse communities.
Trust nobody!
Whoever put that together without at least a CCF pad has evidently never heard of CBS!
Thanks for the fix!
Me too on the Explorer.
Plus there's no small go-to knife.
Rambo would be happy with the machete but Rambo might not fit in the Explorer.

Yeah...if someone has this as their bug out bag, I hope they live in Florida. They'd freeze in any other state.
Agree on the lack of a simple camp knife. Also no backup batteries for the headlamp, and while they busted out the bucks for the Explorer and such, that's a really cheap compass.
I got no issue with the machete. I carry a Gerber Gator machete on the side of my pack in lieu of a camp ax and saw.
What I don't see that amazes me is trash bags. You can do ANYTHING with a couple of 3mil 55 gallon trash bags. I don't go camping without them. Also not sure I saw a stove to heat the water for those mountain house meals.
I'm sure mine has a lot less and cost a lot less.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Man!! Wow... looks like my B.O.B. a few years ago. After a few drills, I decided I'd get about 10ft from my front door in a situation where there was military intervention with a rig like that. That might be a good hidden vehicle bag. Anyway, I'm no expert and I don't get paid for my opinions so I'll just shut up before I get in trouble...
I wonder though... why a SPAX and a Kukri?

Biggest, most glaring error is there's no poncho.
And as mentioned there's no small knife and no hammock insulation. And there's no stove.
Seeds? Really? Seeds? I guess that's because you're going to have to stay near the water b/c you've got two methods of purification but nothing to carry water in.
Durnting's not even ready for a weekend.
