With those temps, unless you're in the desert I'd bring a bugnet!

if you are car camping bring everything you have, and enjoy the tinkering!!!!!!!!!!!!
aside from that what are our choices, what do you have available to you?
Or do you want our setups for those conditions?

    In that case...never mind.

If you don't already have TQ/UQ options a lightweight sleeping bag would probably be more than enough. Poncho liner TQs and UQs would be a good option and can be put together in sewn or no-sew versions pretty easily.

It really depends on what you have access to and what you feel comfortable making due with. Most of us don't have our pick of multiple TQs and UQs.

I just backpacked last weekend with similar temps. I had my 20* HG UQ with no TQ and I was comfortable. If I had 50* quilts, I would have done that instead.
With beauty all around you, may you walk.

For me, 70F is fleece sleeping bag liner only. However, that's a significant wind. Unless you can get a good sheltered site, an extra layer would be good to have on hand.

As others said, if you're car camping bring everything! tinkering is half the fun.

I have a Sleeping bag converted to UQ. I will bring that. Not sure if i will need a top or not. Might just bring a small fleece blanket.
