BikerDad rollin' in via Utah Valley and looking to hang out!

Morning folks. The handle is "BikerDad", which I've been using for a LONG time (by 'Net standards). I am going to be experimenting with hanging to see if it can solve my space and, to a lesser extent, sleep problems when camping. I try to be out on the motorcycle at least one weekend a month, often stealth camping. Since I just moved up to Utah last fall, there's a lot of fine roads for me to explore still.

As of this posting, I'm the rookie owner of an ENO DoubleNest which I picked up earlier "today" at REI. I've got zero, zilch, nada experience hanging, and hope that it's something I'll like.

Good luck! Try a few experimental hangs in the yard if thats possible to help you get your hang right.

Welcome! +1 to hanging in the yard to get a little experience. I started with an eno dn several years ago with the thought of upgrading if I liked hammocks. It is so comfortable I haven't been able to part with it!

Man, I love Utah! That is one fine state for riding and camping. The Eno is an excellent choice. You'll need some insulation tho, even in relatively warm temps. Closed cell foam will work fine, Gossamer gear has some good stuff for less than $30.
One of the most memorable nights I ever spent in a hammock was in my Eno in Kodachrome state park. The stargazing is incredible! Have fun with it!
Tonight I'm howlin' at a foreign moon, might as well be a junkie's spoon.

Welcome BikerDad. There are quite a few hangers up there by you if you need some help getting started, not so many down here though but if you head this way give a shout and we'll hang out.

If you got the crap straps from ENO consider changing out the suspension before you do anything else. ENO Doublenest is a super piece of kit but the suspension system is junk.

Welcome to the forums, from Ohio. Glad to hear your jumping right in. The Eno DN is a good start.
