Ridge line for an ENO Double?

First of all i wanted to say hi. I've been lurking here for a while checking out all the info on hammock camping. I finally went out and bought and ENO double nest. I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. Normally I hardly ever sleep while camping and my first night in the hammock I slept like a baby. I actually over slept!

I've read a lot about people adding structural ridgelines. It seems like a good idea. Sounds like it would add consistency to every hang. I was wondering have people added a ridgeline to the double nest and if so how to you go about doing it? I'm using the straps that came with the double nest so at this point I'm not even having to tie knots.

I have a ridgeline on my double ENO. One I did it I'll never go back. It does make it a lot more consistant. Before I took off the stock rings things. I just played around with the length till I got the sag like I wanted. I tied a slip not on both ends and slipped in the biners. Now i have the slip things and I just tied a slip knot on the rope right after it comes out of the material. Works great. Check around the get the smallest dia. rope you can get with a high lb rating. Mine is around 1/8 rated for about 1800lbs. Got from a sail boat place online. How much stretching do you get with the stock straps. Later you might want to try the slip things. I liked it alot better and you don't have to tie knots with it and you get NO stretching over night. Yep, I've used one on my TrekLight Double (same thing as your ENO) works like a champ!

hi mate i,m a newbie like you , i use 550 paracord with an adgustable knot ,these are very simple to do and undo ,and as the name says it is adgustable just by sliding it along ,great .
