Well, reading and learning so so many tricks and idea's on this site. Since, I bought my hammock. It's been modified tested Napping in the back yard. Works.
BUT time you add all the top Quilt (sleeping bag) under padding and then Free Down Quilt for underQuilt. ( no shock cord, had to use 550 cord). Amazing how fast that little single nest fills up. no way to sleep on belly, or cross ridge line sleep to lay flat. Tried many many angles, went what felt compfy while laying inside.
Went for a Outing, over the week-end. Used my Xterra has a Wind shield, parked 13 feet away from tree. ( Entire area was forest fire). Added my Woopie slings, made a Top line for Tarp. Good anchors. like others use. works. Coldest it reached was 37 degree's, and with no wind zipping through(35 MPH). I was toasty warm. Even had Ground Dwellers behind me, amazed I am in hammock. But told them.. Never have these sneaky buzz toy's trying to sneak in to tent... grins.
darn things were sneaky...
some photos.
enjoying a cold Dark Black Butte Porter, at sunrise while enjoying the nice start of a new day.
I will be adjusting my under-quilt with shock cord. As with a wider & long hammock. I'm 5' 9" 160 lbs.. might either make one, or just get a larger set up.
All in all, was fun to sleep and rock myself to sleep. ;-)
