Talking Finally slept in the hammock, outside!!!

Well, after weeks and weeks of getting in the hammock and spending hours setting up everything, I actually got to sleep outside in the hammock. It was about midnight last night, nice weather, when I turned to my wife and said that I just about took all I could take, and that I was sleeping in the back yard. So out I went, to the two trees tucked in between our backdoor neighbor and us, at midnight mind you, and quickly set up my diy hammock w/ whoopies, tree huggers, toggles, and dutch clips, and then placed my hennessy hexfly over my ridgeline. Within 10 minutes I was sleeping in my hammock, and the truth is I didn't open a wink until 6 am. I wonder what my neighbors thought about the bumbling dufus with a light on his head last night?!?

    Congratulations!

Congratulations on your first outdoor hang! How did you feel? Quite comfortable I imagine... Were you cold at all?

Thanks! I was amazingly comfortable, as I have actually spent quite a bit of time in the hammock. I live in western NC and it was pretty mild here last night, so I slept comfortably with nothing but a sleeping bag, never got cold.

That didn't sound quite right! Obviously I was dressed, or I'm afraid my neighbors would have called the authorities!

Thanks! Yeah the low was 53 degrees, Fahrenheit, according to my outdoor thermometer.

    Welcome to the addiction.

Funny how many people write about the neighbors thinking we have flipped a cog! All I know is every time I get in mine I don't want to get out.
