I have my eye on the VA Creeper Trail on bikes, with the whole family sometime soon. So take good mental notes!

Ah women, so easily discouraged. The great view promised by the map was Just Around the Corner after you turned back, chasing those scouts. They were a hoot though weren't they? 80 lb kids carrying packs that could have carried 40 lbs (Be Prepared, after all.)
Next time I'll bring a GPS and we'll know exactly how far the next Great View is from sampled location.
