    Newbie saying hello

Hello all. I'm a newbie to this forum and to hammock camping. I received a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter Pro yesterday, have not even gotten it out of the stuff sack yet. I picked that model because the weight rating is sufficient to hold my bulk.
I've laid on some back yard stand hammocks, not very comfortable, and some GI issue hammocks, which were tolerable but only just, but never slept in one of these high-tech jobs. I can't wait to try the SBP out.
I'm looking forward to getting these old bones up off the hard ground and having a good nights sleep in the backcountry. Yesterday and most of today I enjoyed doing searches and reading posts and articles here. Learned a lot, thanks to you all, and look forward to learning more.
BTW, I'm in NE Arizona, in the beautiful Mogollon rim and White Mountains country. I found this forum from numerous references on the Bushcraft USA forum, which I've participated in for some years.
    Well, hello to you all.

Hello and welcome! Not all hammocks are created equal. Don't worry if your SBP is not comfy, there are many models out there that will hold a lot of weight and are very comfortable. Have fun!

Welcome from Memphis. Hammocks are my new addiction. I had to try several brands to find a comfy one for this full figured guy.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to learning a lot.

I get the impression that I should not expect my new SBP to be comfortable?
You can be wet and miserable, or you can choose to just be wet.
