I use a 3 season incubater. It works great. There are little tabs sewn on it and they match up to the tie outs on your hammock. I clip the UQ to the tie outs and hold it at a diagnal like you lay. Im not sure if thats what they were intended for but it sure works nice.

It stays in the 80s even at night, so I really haven't had a good opportunity to do a cold test. I'm hoping for some cooler weather soon.

Makes sense... Well, I went ahead and ordered mine. Was hoping to get better confirmation before I did but my trip is sneaking up soon so I will have to do my own tests!

I don't think you will be sorry. I've loved all my WL stuff.

Just got my SS UQ today, looks great. So small! I can't wait to try it Will be doing a test tomorrow to see if this UQ plus a thin fleece blanket will be enough to keep me warm on a summer night. I hope it does because my trip is sneaking up on me and I dont have time to order a SS top quilt!

Went out on a stealth camping trip friday night to test out my new rig and found that attaching the UQ to my HH was an absolute challenge.

Everything I've seen has indicated that I should hook it onto the spot where the hammock suspension meets the hammock, however in the HH there is nothing there to hook onto. Since I was using Whoopie Slings I just detached the hammock and ran the slings through the quilt suspension and then reattached it. This kinda worked, but the rope slid down to the footbox and head areas since nothing was holding it in place.

I did manage to stay warm with just the UQ and a fleece blanket, but it was also a hot and sticky night.

So I have a week to figure out how to make this suspension work a bit better. I was thinking if I had some extra mitten hooks (which I'm not sure that I do) I couldd attach them to the whoopie slings and then attach the UQ suspension to them. If anyone has any other suggestions or tips I would greatly appreciate it!

I used some little biners that I had. A couple of mini s-biner would be perfect.

I thought there was shock cords on the ends that you could tie off and do some end adjustments? I swear the 2 I had did. You could always put a Prusik knot on your whoopie sling and attach it to that..

That's what I ended up doing, luckily my mini S-biners arrived the day before my 4 day solo. They worked perfectly.

They have shock cords, but there's nothing to hook the shock cords onto.

I also considered the prussik knot route and had brought the original Hennesy Hammock tarp connectors in case the S-biners didn't work. They probalby would've done the job as well, except the rope doesn't seem to do anything but slide on amsteel, with the right rope they'd probably work better.
