So I found an older Trailwise Berkeley down bag at the local St. Vinnie's for $10. The bag still has excellent loft and is about 4" thick with down. My plan was to use this as a donor bag to make a 3/4 underquilt, but I feel really bad cutting up such a great old bag. This thing is really amazing. I'm guessing early 70s?
Does anyone know if there's a market out there for such a cool bag? I would hate to cut this up if there's someone out there looking for what I would assume would be a hard bit of kit to come by after all these years. I'm not looking to make money on this, just wondering if I'm cutting up something that can't be replaced.
