Need help planning for Adirondack Loj trip

Does anyone have experience hanging at any of the ADK loj lean-to sites? This will be my first year hanging at the loj and I don't remember which of the lean-to sites are setup nicely for this. (I'm camping with others that prefer lean-tos.) I hope this request isn't TOO specific...

I just emailed the Loj to find out if hammocks were allowed at the Wilderness Campground. Anthony (Loj employee) replied that they are allowed.

I will be headed up there next weekend, so I can poke around and look to see if any sites would be bad for hanging.

You may want to call the Loj or email, [email protected]. They may have rules regarding where you can place hammocks (or tents) near leantos.

I emailed them yesterday and found out that they do allow hammocks at the tent and lean-to sites as long as nothing is staked into a tree. (Why would anyone do that!)

I was considering reserving for lean-to 10 if I didn't get any intelligence reports. I had that site last year and I think it may work.
