    Red face help with sewing ripstop poly

    a while back before i was a registered lurker i read a thread that had some links that helped with and had tips sewing ripstop poly now i cant find it

    help!! i wanna get a prototype going so i can have a functional hammock before oregon matsutake season!!!

    You need to give us a few more specifics.

    For a first time sewer, use lots and lots of pins, and take your time. After a while you can use fewer pins, and go faster. Unless... you're making a quilt... or... a cat curve...

    i have never sewn anything in my life but im craft with my hands just looking for some good reads in general. anything applicable to sewing outdoor fabrics for quilts, tarps, hammocks, stuff sacks ..ect

    I used this site quite a bit when getting started. It's for kite making, but it's the same concept.

    There's always thru-hiker for the mandatory stuff sack project. Makes lots of these and you'll be all set.
