I have the HG “Blues” BIG Time !! - UL Style

Meet my new gear. Okay, I’ll say this just once... This gear is awesome and the workmanship is second to none.

    I’ll start with the tarp.
Blue 0.51oz/yd Cuben Fibre 4 season tarp.
This thing is, yep... Awesome. I have owned a few tarps now and this is the best I have had. The design is so solid, pitch is perfect and the doors close up like they should. The geometry is perfect. It weighs in at 187grams in the cuben stuff sack (5g) but with whoopiesling.com CRL , prussic tie outs and mesh tarp skins it’s 264 grams.

The TQ. Yep you guessed it awesome!!
M50 Blue outer, 7D Inner, 56” wide burrow , regular foot width (I didn’t want the wide footbox too, just the shoulder width for ground camping), sewn footbox. 9.5oz of 900 fill down Rated @ roughly 30°F. Oh the weight... 415grams. Yeh I know it’s heavy..... Not.

The UQ. Mmm, okay it’s awesome too !!
Same M50 / 7D fabrics. Regular ľ Phoenix with 7oz of 900 fill down for a similar rating of 30°F. Yep it’s massive too and comes in at 360grams with both suspension sets. I just prefer the secondary alone so that knocks 20g’s of it too 340grams total.
Both quilts shipped in a tiny cuben stuff sack... Even they are awesome.

Now I know Adam and Jenny will not chime in on this thread because they are too modest. They should though. These guys will do whatever it takes to get things right for you, nothing seems too hard.

Oh and a big shout out to my two helping hammock erecting specialists, “Benny & Zac” the border collies. They were a great help with tarp lines, stuff sacks etc everywhere. Hence why they got tied to a stump !!

I admit, I love and appreciate color coordination. That is some SHARP LOOKIN gear. Be proud, be very proud. Don't ever sell, you'd regret it.

Love me some HG custom gear. I got a custom Hex on the way in the green translucent color. Seeing your tarp makes me oohh so much more excited to get mine. Enjoy the new gear.
