    10" of lash-it/zing-it tied with a double fisherman's knot makes a perfect little prusik.

    11" gives you more to do extra wraps, like lash-it to lash-it.

    This. Make sure for a smaller diameter ridgeline material that your prusik has enough tension to bite. It might take an extra wrap so calculate that into making of the prusik loops, depending on the material they're made of. Like hppy mentioned zing-it or lash-it material is small diameter, so you'll need an extra wrap if ridge and loop are same material.
