First DIY - Sleeping bag to UQ!

Well my son has a Hennessey hammock and I need to get him a UQ as we are going away for 3 day in July.
    so.......
I Took my -7șC bag and started cutting - Used the HG phoenix as a rough guide. I want him to have basically a full length UQ.

Cut off zippers and draft collar

Did a flat stitch up where I cut and trimmed off extra material.

Pins pins pins and more pins - can't have enough pins to attach 2" gross gain

All stitched up - finished size is 44"x66" now I need to get some shock cord to finish the suspension

I'm happy with my stitching and how corners turned out

size isn't too bad....just rolled up and in bag - some compression can get it about 1/2 that size...... but it is a -7șC quilt

Now to get shock cord get it tested out.....

Thanks for the feedback - this was my first real project (my first was sewing loops on webbing)
for a beginner the help of google and youtube I was able to figure everything out and my sewing got better as I went (you can tell that each corner and edge improved in quality as I went)

so now I got the suspension on and got it hung up on my WBBB.

It was a little saggy in the middle so I added additional loops in each corner and attached a secondary line on each end to keep it snug.

Works great - quilt is up, snug and i could feel the heat after a few minutes - definitely worthy for my son to hang with to keep warm.

Do the ends have a draw strings on them? I'm working on doing something similar and just looking for ideas. Looks good!
