...and soon, very soon, the HNO AirShip will be paired with the Rivendell 'Roan'; the first purpose built insulated-hammock just for the HNO hammock sock. The combination has 'made for each other' written all over it.
The use of Argon fabric should be trick and reports coming out of Quebec at 0F are very promising.
    Advance the art.
The goal/ the dream is to use the FireINMyBoanes BoneFire for 3 seasons and the 'Roan' for the colder months! Either way it's a one bag solution, continuing the concept of one bag, open, cinch, string out to the next tree, cinch and DONE.

    What did you do????

Edit: I took a closer look, and saw that the photo is called "pole-mod". So how does it work? Is the improvement significant?

Yes the AirShip now sports a pole-mod.
We're used pole mod for quite a while now in tarps.
The improvements are many=increased apparent room under the tarp portion of the hammock sock is a big one. For those who 'condense'
there is greater airspace around all side of the hammock, yet the SEEP still closes fully creating that micro climate that a hammock sock is known for.
A small feature that can be big is that the pole mod allows a quick and easy porch mode set up and in mild weather can be left quite high up. This makes
getting in and out of the hammock a straight in approach versus bending over and going under the tarp portion bent over. Of course you can always quickly
remove the pole and set up the tarp portion very close to the hammock. Another big plus is that the pole mod creates an even more aero dynamic profile.
The down side is of course you have to carry the pole and it weighs 1.7 ounces, and another stake to stake out and pulling down the rear of the pole to counterpoise
the tarp portion which is pulling down the tarp portion of the hammock sock.
The HNO derived socks go up in just minutes. Historically given two trees i can be set up from the one-bag system in less than 2 minutes. Adding the pole-mod and adding the extra stake might add another 45 seconds if pushed.
HNO (Hangnout) has done it again with two beautiful installed pole pockets. Thanks HNO !

The AirShip and its variants are available via Hangnout. They are just crazy expensive due to the materials used and the labor involved. Thus
few people have taken the plunge. That and the realization that some people are we breathers, e.g. people who either sweat a lot at night or put
off a lot of moisture when they breathe...in amounts that the waterproof/breathable cuben and momentum 50 cannot vent. Luckily I don't sweat much
even when its hot and learned a long time ago from my bagpipe teacher that I don't put out much moisture in my breath either. We're all different.

Thanks FIMB. It really taughtens up the ship. On the back side what was one flat panel to present to the wind is now beveled. Overall just another advancement of the art by HNO.

As always none of this possible without the genius of HNO.
The pole mod has always been great for tarps, for the HNO derived socks its even better.
