dunno how I missed this video!! welll done presentation

I enjoy hammock socks a lot, like the weight saving, easy setup, privacy, yet plenty of room to cook under porch - look forward to seeing this in action some more

.... so when does it go into production

Well done! After the thought and work I put into developing my sock idea, I can appreciate what you have there. I'm assuming that the sock, hammock, insulation and bug net are all separate pieces. I'd like to see how you assemble the combined package. Any chance of a video showing that?

Another question - is anyone planning on selling these for those of us that are DIY challenged? I like the looks of this for fall/winter backpacking.

Thanks. It was a fun project, well shouldn't say 'was'...it's ongoing. The HNO Graf Hindenburg....we're just calling it the Graf for short, is in the works even as I type.
I've got 12 nights now in the Dirigible and under varying conditions. Last weekend in a constant rain for a good 'sprinkler' test and glad to report no condensation. We've learned a lot via version 1, version 2 will be even better. Stay turned for a vid...probably Octoberish.
Sweeper-my goad in this was to be able to use the sock year around. The only thing stopping me with that kind of useage in the past was finding breathable materials. That problem is now solved.
The real beauty of the sock is the set up time. Over and over again I've watched my other hikers set up when I was done in 2 minutes.
Mr.Mike65-will do a short vid of the collective parts this coming week when I get out of my cage.
Good to see renewed interest in hammock socks!
    Are you a socker?

I am not a "socker", but I have followed Mac's canvas sock with seep for some time. I see the primary beauty of this as you have described, the quick setup of the kit plus the added warmth. I do an "all-in-one" setup these days with the hammock/TQ/UQ, so this is just the next logical step.

I would like to see how it packs when very wet. I've had some multi-day hikes where we were getting a 2+ inches a day and after a while it was impossible to keep things dry. I would be somewhat concerned about my UQ in that setup.

    moisture

with the Dirigible I'd have no concern for the UQ or the TQ getting wet from rain even over multi days BUT the ones I'm using are down and historically on multiday hikes moisture slowly builds in the down just from me.

I have a modular sock that I built earlier this year. You can find pics in my gallery and a thread called "Modular Hammock Sock". If you search Youtube for "hikerbyday" you'll find two vids I put out. I built mine completely out of silnylon and dealt with ventilation by making the tarp part separate (but attachable) from the bottom.

I can see benefits in both designs.

    Benefits in both....

Agreed, variability is a good thing.
Look at your pics. VERY nice job with the thread injector.
In a way I was reminded of the one(s) Imrisk did.
Maybe Hangnout will chime in and let us know how it's going with the Graf.

Is someone getting anxious? A team of SWAG engineers are finishing the design updates as we speak and then the sweat shop will start cutting and sewing. Then it will be put on the slow boat from China for delivery
