I just ordered one of the new models from Canada, should be here by the end of the week but not in time for the Hoosier Hang. Dang.. I was able to try this hammock out along side of the old one. A friend of mine has both. I fell in love with the new one and he wouldn't even think about selling the old one. The one thing that struck us both, and we could not understand, was that while i sat there in my bridge and he in his Chrysalis, when we both sat down and go up, my bridge goes way high, and when I set down it sinks, stretches or whatever. Now, using the same webbing setup for suspension on all the hammocks, the Chrysalis didn't have to be hung high so that when you sat down it wouldn't go way down. It was reacting more like a gathered hammock. That great swing in height unloaded and height while someone was in it was one of the things I didn't like about Bridges, and I have bought and made several. The Chrysalis didn't have that problem. Seemed to be way sturdy and solid. The hammock itself, which has to be purchased separately now with the new 2011 models, doesn't weight quite 2 pounds. I am going to be happy with this I think.
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
