I can't say for sure what will be in the article, but the guy did take photos of my set up. There's also a dark photo of me (that's a good thing) by the fire.

I also mentioned our forum, but who knows what he'll decide to put in the article. I'll put in a report after I download my photos.

He mentioned I'm testing my cold weather gear, but didn't mention the hammock. Perhaps he will in the article on Sunday, January 25th.

I checked it out last night. Did you tell him to stop by next Saturday to say hi.

I actually did mention you guys would be there on the weekend of the 23rd, and told him if he was interested in learning about hammocks, there would be people there much more knowledgeable than I am.

I hope to stop by, but doubt I'll be able to overnight. The 23rd is my son's 13th birthday, and I normally work weekends.

How many people have said they are definitely coming?

I think 15-20 total. Me and my crew will be 7 that I know of right now. At least 3 will be in hammocks all weekend.

So I posted a comment talking about the get together this weekend and also put a link to Shugs -25deg report. I got 2 emails today from him, first was saying he would try and stop by, but if he couldn't to send him some pictures with us out there. Second was him asking for my phone number so he could interview me for his story on winter camping. I might have to ask him if he saw shugs video and if so maybe Shug could answer some questions about the trip.

Just got off the phone with Kevin. He's going to try and make it out on Saturday. If he doesn't make it I'm going to take a few pictures to send to him. Now I'll be in his article also.

Ok... I managed single digits last night for a while in the backyard. Two things torpedoed the hang. 1) I don't sleep well in the back yard in town. If you knew where I live I think you would understand. Secondly... how to put this delicately.... It would be considered inadvisable to squat in the back yard in town. So I headed to the facilities. Once there I decided to join my wife in the bed.

But if I can handle the single digits I should be able to deal with temps this weekend. So I plan to be there. Send me directions on how to get there as well as anything else I am going to need to bring.

I'm building a pulk just for kicks and giggles.... but we'll see how it works.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
