    New River UQ

Finally tried out my New River UQ....

Gotta say, its great... fits my NX-250 perfectly, complete wrap from edge to edge & the full length is great. I can still use the under pockets with no issues. Great product.

I will look into a down UQ, for back packing. I wanted synthetic, because it will mostly be used on canoe trips & hunting trips where weight & bulk isn't that big of an issue.

I just received my New river as well. I have mine setup on my Hammock.com UL (GT Ultralite) in the cellar at the moment, but I'll be taking with with me on my October hike.
I was surprised at how well it can pack down.

Once I got the quilt out of the stuff sack, it's been fighting me every time I try to squeeze it back in. Right now I'm storing it in a mesh bag.

It's not small. I get about 16" long by 7" high in the stuff sack. Hella warm!

It does fight getting back in the sack...

No it's not. I do have a compression sack, but I'm hesitant to use it for a full week of hiking.

After taking a closer look at these pics and reading more about the 2 quilts I think I am going to go with the jarbridge with extra fill to save a little money- any idea in the size difference between these 2 UQs when compacted?

Do you think Triangle Thingies necessary with this quilt. I'm thinking of picking up a set, but I'm not really sure if I need them. I get a pretty good fit now, but I'm thinking I'd like to snug the quilt up a bit more.

I have been looking at the new river, I have the jarbidge and like the looks of the full length.
