    When it rains all week

When it rains all week, what do you do? BUILD GEAR!!! I found a queen size down comforter at the thrift store for $30. No big loss if I was unable to do it, but I did recover the down from it. Then I stuffed it ALL into an UQ project. 36in at the head, 44 at the body, 32 at the foot and 7 feet long. Loft was right at 5in. talk about over stuff. But I do not like being cold!

Nice score on the down comforter.
Life looks better from a BIAS hammock.

    Very nice! Like the colors.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

It's too heavey to pack with 39oz. but i'm a floater so it don't matter. I just needed something that compresses well.

Wished I had seen this before doing this project. Time to rip it up and do it again.
MAD777 has great instruction on how to do it right.

Ha! I don't think it matters how you built that thing, it's going to keep you TOASTY!
In the end, it's only function that counts

Looks cool--I mean 'WARM'. I'm trying to imagine a time when you might need 5 inches of loft in Mississippi. Great score on the down. Wish I could find a deal like that.
