Anyone ever been to Hoist Lake or Reid Lake trail systems in Michigan

I have heard from a couple people that I should try these places out. They are fairly easy to hike and there is never anyone there to compete with for a place to hang near a fire pit. It would be great to not have to drive into the U.P. to find a nice secluded place to hike and hang.

I love this river, great fly fishing and tubing! I have only camped at one place on the River and It is called Canoe Harbor Camp Ground. It is totally rustic but perfect. Like you said, not too many there so not much competition and some awesome trails around. Hope it helps! Enjoy the area!
