I wish! Nah, I had to pay $23 for 5 to be shipped by UPS.

UPS now have a presence in Australia. I've noticed quite a few of the brown vans getting around town. The driver that dropped my parcel off has just started with them and he can't believe how efficient their operations are. Good old Australia Post takes nearly 5 days to deliver a package 2 suburbs away so they are definitely going to have to lift their game to compete with the likes of UPS and FedEx.

I made a crinkle 90 hammock several months ago------I like the material ---its very strong, even strong enough to build sewn in insulation pockets in the bottom without risking a hammock failure! I would imagine some one at the tablecloths factory is really confused why the demand for crinkle table cloths have skyrocketed in the past few months!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Yeah wanted a light color for temperature, but wouldn't dare do white or the ivory... And plus I can always dye the silver if its just too much... It's going to become a zipperless bugnet mod anyways... Experiments experiments...

Thank you for not keeping the "glitch" to your self. My wife and I have a sage green 90"x156" for the yard on the way. Can't beat $17.99 to the door.
Hammocking, car camping, backpacking, kayaking, and mountain biking. Getting in touch with nature is getting expensive. Good thing I can DIY!

    Canadian Source

Does anyone know of a similar Canadian source? $20 shipping + increasingly random border fees makes this bit more expensive for us. Alternately, anyone near Saskatoon want a group buy to save on shipping?

Clark has been sewing exterior pockets onto their hammocks for years, and in maximum load areas. People have been sewing channels onto the ends, and then hanging from those threads, the load transferred to the fabric the threads are sewn into.

So, I am glad to hear you sewed pockets on. There's probably risk, and the risk is probably negligible.

I get the feeling from reading here that belief in the fragility of the hammock body is stopping a customization and innovation. Even among DIY'ers, factory sewn seams for these tablecloth "blanks" may have reduced the cost of taking a chance, as you have done, to just the cost of the blank, not even the labor to hem the sides.
