    WTB: Lightweight pack

I'm currently using a Kelty Redwing 50L pack and while I love this pack I would like to reduce my pack weight more. Its a medium large frame and I'm a heft guy, so if anyone has a good pack in medium to large frame size with a large belt I am interested. I was going to buy a golite, but they are always sold out, and ULA, while they are really nice are a little more than I want to drop on a trial pack. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies

    PM sent on a GoLite.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

I just scored my first GoLite last week no problem. My friend got hers too sans any difficulty.

OK, I spoke too soon. Looks they had a run on the Jam packs, though they do have some 35's and 70's left, they're all gunbarrel blue.

I really like the Ohm 2, but $200 is just more than I can do for a while. With a WBBB Lefty and some quilts on the way I have spent a small fortune already. Lol

Since you like the Kelty, keep it for a while longer. It sounds as it you've already spent some cash to lighten up in other areas. You can continue to do so with other smaller items that are far less expensive than a pack. Remember, it's the same result if you save an ounce on a stove or on a pack, but the stove is cheaper and can be a DIY project.

I've lightened up everything except my tarp for the same reason but someday I'll pull the trigger on an expensive cuben tarp.

I'm wanting a kelty 50... How do you like it regardless of the weight? How heavy is it comfortable to for you? How many days do you have in it... I know there are reviews but most of.the reviews are people who just bought it and haven't used it yet...

I have lightened up in a lot of areas. Heiny pot, fancee feest stove, ditched the nalgenes, etc. I will be keeping the kelty, but I do want to try out a lightweight pack to see how it will work for me. I am sure the down is going to create a noticable difference in the pack weight as is though
