VIDEO: Big Guy backpacking and Hammocking

    Hey all,

I have started my channel on the YouTube. Its primarily pointed to the Big guys out there who still love to be outdoors and I hope to encourage those that might be nervous to start or get back out there. but I hope to entertain those who are of the smaller folk as well. I will be doing tips and reviews on Hammocks and all other gear for camping and backpacking for the big guy aka the Heavy Hangers out there.

Coming soon will be the review of my WBBB 1.7dbl and My Superfly.
Also will be doing a review on the Kammock Roo

Let me know what you all think and thank you for watching

I'm not sure I embeded the video right my forst time, so here's the link to my channel youtube.com/5x6outdoors

Gonna watch it after I read through the unread posts on the forum, but thanks up front, will tell a mate of mine who is waiting for a BB dbl 1.7 and has quite a few problems finding suitable gear here in Europe (6'6" and 300 pounds).

Well done - great advice for ANY new hiker. Having been born during the second Eisenhower Administration, I hike better today than when I started over 20 years ago. FOOTWEAR - make sure the fit is as close to perfection as possible. HYDRATION - hydrate, hydrate and hydrate. TREKKING POLES - they have save my butt several times. They aid on the uphills but more importantly they prevent falls on the downhills.

Not a "BIG" guy myself but have a good buddy that falls into that class. Been trying to get him out into the wilds for sometime now!

Love it. One of my favorite books is entitled "Slow Fat Triathlete: Live Your Athletic Dreams in the Body You Have Now." I found Jayne William extremely inspirational and loved how she was not wishing to be more athletic but was doing it. And enjoying every step of the journey. Your videos will have the same affect I'm sure!
