    Bradley that sounds like the most brilliant and simple solution yet. I'm not sure why a guy like me who can barely sew a straight line, let alone get a decent baffle put together, didn't come up with that idea before.

    look around for a clean used one.

    For the foot end once you sew and cut it,
    you can get sticky no-sew Velcro to use on it around the edges.

    Exactly what I have been thinking - only with a poncho liner. Not as good as down of course, but cheap, on hand, and good for a prototype. I think there is enough fabric in a poncho liner to get 6 double thickness pads - foot piece will require another liner.

    I have a few poncho liners and was intending to do this for my NX-250, but never got around to it. I think it is a good idea for car camping, because it will be too bulky to pack. The down pillows idea is great and I think would work very, very well. I am a cold sleeper, so the poncho liner would not be good for winter use. (for me)

    excellent idea. did similar thing on a cheap nylon hammock.
