Kincaid Lake is close to the Evangeline Camp. I am not sure of the exact distance. A few miles perhaps. The boat landing is on the same road as the Evangeline Camp. Jazilla could probably be more precise. He and a few others discussed bringing their kayaks, but I am not sure if they decided yet. I have sure been helpful.

Here is a little run down of the goings on we are shooting for.

    -Friday
Most folks will be arriving and setting up.
Meet and greet around the campfire after Dark
Granger will be cooking a Meatball Fricassee (Meatball Stew) and it is killer

    -Saturday
    Possible am paddling trip
    hiking, lounging, visiting, gear demos

    Dark
    Chow time.
Old River Rat has graciously offered up a little Cochon De Lait (pig roast)for us to enjoy. Along with rice dressing and roasted sweet potatoes. This is a potluck dinner so if you can please bring a little something.

Also for both suppers you will need your own cook sets (pots and utensils)

    -Sunday
door prizes to be given away

This is by no means set in stone and is subject to change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to do certain things as a group please speak up and we will plan accordingly (hiking trip, paddling, gear.. etc.)

i drank CDM for years. if i am not mistaken, CDM is the brand that is sold in stores, but is the same as Cafe du Monde coffee you buy at the coffee stand by the same name in New Orleans. Good old coffee and chicory. As long as it is brewed strong enough that you cannot see the bottom of the cup it is great. If only we can have beignets too!
