I am another lurker that is more active on another LA site. My family (six plus one well mannered dog) have recently gotten into hammocking and would like to join in the fun. We did a spring fling with guys from BCUSA and it was a blast.

Been lurking for awhile, finally coming out of the closet. Hoping to join ya'll. It'll be late Friday night. I'll be coming in from the Shreveport area. I have not been on the Wild Azelia trail since the mid-80's. Is Evangeline camp a few of miles before you get to Valentine lake trailhead on south end of Kincaid lake? I've only been there on the through hike.

I think I've met some of ya'll at the Saturday night Skurka presentation at Pack & paddle.

Jayzilla will be able to answer your question about the location of the evangaline campsite. Yes you did meet us at the presentation at P&P. Three out of the five of us were there. We were the guys that answered all the questions about hammocking. Happy to hear you've upgraded from sleeping on the ground. Always nice to have new comers to the hanging addiction lol.

I'd also like to know what's the other LA site???
It's never a trip, It's always an adventure!

Evangeline Camp is on Messina Road, Forest Road 273. Messina Road can be accessed from West La 28 or La 488. Hope to see you there.

Hello kid, first off let me say welcome to life off the ground. With this being a drive in hang I’m sure like me others will bring extra gear so if there is anything I have you may need (under quilt…) look me up.
My ego said, SURE you can.
Half way in my body said OH NO YOU CAN'T
