The Evangeline campsite is pretty easy to find. Here it is on google maps
This tread has really blown up since the last time I checked in. Glad a few of you folks where able to migrate in from the Bushcraft forum. This hang is shaping up very nicely.

Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
I noticed the avatar was the same, what is seeker on this forum?
I have been working so cotton picking much I can't seem to get any traction on getting out. The few days I have off have been pouring rain or emergency honey do's. I am soooo looking forward to this trip. I want to get out but also want to oogle everyone else's setup and hopefully play with some of the stuff on my short list (WB 1.7, HH expedition, etc). I have been occupying my time but tinkering with stuff and buying new gear...sound familar...
Seeker is still seeker but since make so many things and I was on a James bond kick the redneck q it was LOL
Yeah I am looking forward to it as well. I switched to Dutch buckles and added a couple prussics to the whoopie slings so my tarp stays setup. Very quick and I like it. I need to build a turtle stand incase we run out of trees.
As I just read the sign in sheet, I'm starting to see the need for something we'll need. Maybe it's being over looked or it's an item everyone is bringing but so simple (common) no one listed it. I am talking about drinking/cooking water. I am bringing a 55 gal drum of water to cook, clean dishes or drink. It's a food grade plastic barrel. The water in it is for everyone to use but I'm getting a lil nervous*as far as it not being enough. A reminder to everyone, there is no running/plumbed in water at the campsite. Maybe a few peeps could bring a gallon or a case of bottled water as a little insurance. I will also have at least 3 large ice chest filled with ice for the use of everyone. Glad to see so many joining us, can't wait to meet y'all!....and of coarse the most important thing....check out all the different gear brought out
It's never a trip, It's always an adventure!
I remember reading several pages back that there is no running water so it was definitely on my list.
My ego said, SURE you can.
Half way in my body said OH NO YOU CAN'T

I am bringing 10 gallons in 2 food grade containers just so I did not need to rely on anyone else but also will add at least a case or 2 of water bottles along with it. Looking forward to this trip and time away from the station and shop!
I'll bring a couple of 5-gal water jugs, & another dutch oven: anyone like biscuits in the morning?
