'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read.” ― Mark Twain
Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
I can stay clear of it but Graham (my dowg) loves walking in the stuff. I have found that Wet Ones seem to take the oil off wonderfully. I wipe myself down with them after a hike and then I wipe Graham down after he's been in it.

If you use the Technu too late and have a bad reaction with blisters etc they can be treated with a paste made from baking soda and white vinegar and it will help the skin with the reaction.
I would still wash with Technu first to make sure all oil is removed but if the hurt is on the paste works.
And I get it bad too. 10 seconds after exposure I can feel that chemical burn happening.
I even keep a little bottle of Technu in my med kit that travels with me no matter where I go in my get home bag.
Heading into my third week. Nasty itching, but my initial patch is healing. A couple of small spots are driving me crazy. This weekend the gear gets doused.
I've always washed any spots of PI with a Comet bathroom cleaner paste (the greenish powder). The bleach in it really dries out the skin. Four or five days of it and the infected areas are on their way out. It does burn a bit, but it works for me. Started using it in basic training when the drill sgt. wouldn't let me go to the infirmary.
I'll remember the Comet if I ever have a drill sgt like yours, but until then I hope I can find a more benign approach. Creative though.
