It might not be absolutely feather free, but the feathers that are there are really really tiny, and there aren't many. I mean tiny as in, you'd have to actually spread the down out a bit to be able to spot them in the blobs of down. I don't think it will cause any problems. I don't see any that are the size you'd typically find escaping from your pillow in the middle of the night.
Sounds good, Frost! Thanks for clearing that up. It sounds likes this is still a great deal and will make nice custom gear!

NO! That's not too wide! My Arrowhead Equipment Flamethrower down underquilt is 40" x 54". I'm pretty sure it's right in the middle of the pack--size-wise, for a 3/4 length quilt.

Aww man, y'all bought em out. "Product temporarily unavailable." Oh well, I will just have to keep my eye out for when they are back in stock. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

Medicineman03, keep your eye on the market forum. I have a couple extra pillows that I might be looking to trade for a summer tarp, or I might just toss them on the PIF. I'm going to KMart right now. If there are more, I'll grab a couple so folks who missed out have a shot.

They still got em in the stores, picked up 1 more in store yesterday (lady at store said they had 2 more pallets in the back). This am ordered 3 yards 1.1 downproof and nanoseeum, gonna have some fun.

Gonna make a "Down Abduction" system with a wetvac this weekend, gotta pretty good idea how to do, but if any GENIUS ideas out there would be great to see. Whatever I use it will be better than my last method which was reachin in, grabbing it, and choking on the loose fibers.

There was a big box on the porch when I got home tonight. I have to say, I'm impressed with the pillows so far. I haven't opened one yet, but I could not feel a single feather in the one I checked. These are definitely worth the money. I'm planning on a top quilt and a bottom quilt. I got 4 pillows, but I'm starting to think I should have gotten 2 more.
