    Replacement Snaps

A couple of snaps have fallen off my Alice Pack. Does anyone know where I can get some replacements?

Most Army/Navy stores will have exact matches for the snaps or even the whole strap. A fabric and notions store will have snaps that don't match exactly, but do the same thing. Take the pack with you, point to the snaps to one of the ladies and look pitiful. Good luck!

Preferably _not_ a big box store like Joannes. Many of the clerks are not well versed in things like matching snaps. Their job is mostly running the cash register and knowing where the blue fabric is. If that's all you got then you take your chances. But often you will not be able to tell about a match unless you open the package. Big box stores usually don't offer that kind of customer service.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Go to Supply Captain and upgrade your ALICE with fastex buckles. It is an easy fix.

Look for a horse tack shop if you can. They are usually great with hardware.

I was think of going this route with some of the buckles, never considered doing that for the snaps. Thanks

Have a couple of those not to far away. NJ should be called the Horse state instead of the Garden State.
