Just finished a cuben tarp with Lineloc3 adjusters at each tie-out. I got the 2.2mm line that zpacks sells and recommends as a good fit for those. The plan was for a locked brummel fixed eye on each cord at the stake end. But I cannot splice this cord.
I've spliced the 1.9mm line from DIY Gear a million times with no trouble at all. I'm not sure what it is about this stuff. It's extremely difficult to get the wire up through the center and then I can't even start getting the free end back through it.
Anyone know of a line between say 2.2 and 2.4mm that will splice and is a non-screaming-neon color? I tried 7/64 Amsteel just for kicks and it's too big.
I would just tie an overhand knot in each line, but you people have ruined me with all your **** pretty splicing.
