    My new down TQ

I recently completed a light weight down top quilt to use as part of a system based on an Aarn Natural Exhilaration daypack with Sport Front Balance Pockets (45 liter total volume). Pics and short description are in this album.

What weight are you looking with this? Reallly liking the foot pad pocket, gonna have to steal this idea for my TQ. Also, temp guidelines?

Really nice work. You should be very toasty with this.

You guys are fast! I posted it, thought about it for a bit, and went back and added to the description in the album. I may have answered some of Aardvark's questions, but feel free to ask more. Was comfortable in the low 40s two nights ago, but that was with a warm insulated hammock and down booties (but no silk long johns!) I sleep cold, so I'd rate this at 50° F without extra clothing layers.

Wonderful work Dave, I like the foot pad/box design you developed! Wonder if you could make a insultex (or something similar) insert for it in addition to the pad to maybe not need the booties?

I love to see the evolution of gear... new ideas, superb craftsmanship, love and sweat put into something. Amazing work! thank you very much for sharing.
