    idiot proof setup

So I have posted a few times here today - thanks for all the input. I am considering making a purchase and I like the idea of getting something quality and if it doesn't work out for me I can always sell it. So I am considering the following setup and would like some feedback. My goal is to make it decently light but also super quick and easy to setup. I am not an expert knot person etc (I know I should get better in that area)

    1. Warbonnet 1.1 double
    2. Warbonnet Edge Tarp
    3. Adjustable webbing suspension
    4. 2 mini carabiners for the hammock
    5. 40 ft guy line for tarp ridge line with S carabiner at one end at nite ize figure 9 carabiner at the other setup like this http://theultimatehang.com/2012/05/r...with-hardware/
    6. 4 guylines for the tarp 8ft each with nite ize figure 9's at the end
    7. 4 tent stakes for tarp

Does this sound like a good setup? Have I missed anything?

Very workable! Just have to get out there and see how it works for you.

Please make sure you get load rated biners. Camp USA Nano 23's (or similar) work well and have no sharp corners to catch material on.

looks like you are well on your way.......what are the mini-carabiners for? if your planning on clipping your tarp to the suspension with them, you might want to go with something heavier, there is alot of force exerted on suspension and it would probably be too much for a mini-carabiner, although i'm not sure if that is what your doing or not

figure 9's will work but tarp flyz from dutch for your ridgeline and mini line loks for your corner tie outs work better and are lighter IMO

Looks like a good setup mate, but from the subject line I thought you were considering just sleeping on the ground

The Hennessey is a fine hammock, but it's a little smaller and heavier than the blackbird and the tarp offers less coverage.

A friend of mine just got the HH expedition. I have the blackbird and the HH is definitely smaller. I would stick with the Blackbird.
