My two air based pads failed... at the same time... so I was thinking about the Z-lite for a quick replacement. Anyone have trouble putting them in a dbl layer?

The hardest part about putting my Z-lite into the double layer hammock was trying to keep it from accordianing (folding) itself up on the ends. It was not very difficult to straighten everything out once it was in the hammock.
I use a torso size Z-Light in my DBL (have never tried it in full length mode) but out of all the pad I have tried (which are several) I really like it. Packs easily, soft against the skin and I use it vertically under my feet so it actually contours to my body and I use the accordion effect to my advantage. Using it underneath the entire body it may be different.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
I use a Z-Light in my BIAS and it works great. You do get a bit of folding in the pad sometimes but it is easy to straighten out.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
The Z-lite is great in a hammock. It lays a lot flatter than other pads on the market.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.
I've been happy with mine in two hammocks for about 7 years.

I am new but purchased one and used it on my last trip. I felt it stayed well under me and I have only a sl. I sleep hot and it was more then warm for me and it got down to about 50. I could feel the coolness anywhere under me that it wasn't. If you keep it hole and use it great, but if you get something else you can always brake it up and use parts of it like some of the other said. Extra layer for you feet, you can use it to make a spe, kneeling pad, sitting pad and so on.
