was wondering how many people got their start in hammocking, via shugs video's? and opf course how many did it take before you made your decision?
thought it would be fun to see

It was shugs videos that got me started. I stumbled on them while researching alky stoves and maybe 5 or 6 videos later I was signing up and enjoying the comfort of my first hammock

It was Just Jeff's website and Shug's video that show me the way

I had been hanging a few years before I discovered Shug; however, I was doing everything wrong and was starting to go back to my tarp & bivy. I give Shug complete credit for teaching me ‘how-to’ hang. Furthermore, he has done more than to keep hanging; he re-inspired my overall love for the outdoors. Thank You Shug!!!

2007 I met Tom Hennessey at World Scout Jamboree. He gave me dvd of his products. He started the bug. I bought a couple for me and my son. We got hooked! Then doing research on camping, I found this site. Broadened my horizons and visit here everyday. As for Shug, used to read his blogs on another site years ago. Then the -29 degree vid hit! Oh my! Showed everyone at work what these two guys did hanging in the woods at -29. Thats when I learned I needed to gain more knowledge on winter camping with these here hammocks!

When I first started my research on hammock camping, it took about two months before I decided I was going to buy a Clark. I was just about to pull the trigger on it when I found Shug's review on the WBBB, and he sold me on it!

How I went those first months without seeing a Shug video, I don't know.. Maybe because he never made that purchase either, no reviews on it.. But once I discovered them I had to watch them all!

Now when people ask me questions about anything hammock related I usually just send them a Shug link where I learned it..

    THANKS SHUG!!!
    WHOOOOOOO BUDDY!!!
