I found the Mecha of outdoor shops on my way back from greenville this winter. Sportsmans warehouse of of interstate 26 exit 104 piney grove rd. Probably about a two hr drive from greenville. Lots of backing gear with weights listed on the shelf stickys.
Just consulted the Google gods. About 1hr 36 mins.

Hi all. New hammock hanger here near Greenville. I am looking forward to doing a group hang in the future and to sharing (read that sucking information out of the brains of experienced HHers) with other hangers. Please keep me in mind when planning anything in the upstate SC area.

Well, Rain Man and I met up for lunch at Barley's Taproom for salad and pizza followed by a trip to Mast General Store. It was nice to meet another one of this bunch.

Only thing I bought at Mast was a Clemson camp on sale, but I'm looking forward to visiting Sunrift Outfitter in Travelers Rest on the way out of town Saturday morning. Might yet get a souvenir from this trip.
Might get to run by the other outfitters today. Brother and I are taking our father out to lunch.
