Ontario (Prefer GTA or surround) GROUP HANGS?

Hey Folks, Any group hangs going down? I'd love a chance to meet some of you and discuss your setups and camping experiences.

Might be the best plan. I thought I had heard that this year would be a little dry for group hangs until the colder months.

We could start with a list of potential hang sites. Rattlesnake, Valens, and Algonquin have worked well in the past. Any other suggestions?

Also when are people available? Anytime? Certain weekend only?

We...myself and the BOSS would be available any weekend from now to school start for some car camping.
My youngest daughter loves her Hennessy Scout and would be coming with us.

You guys not going to Algonquin in August? I stopped following the thread after we had to cancel.

Thought I would throw it out there...the park that we have our seasonal trailer at has a decent sized bush set aside for tenters. The park is located on a smallish Bass Lake and only 15 minutes from Kincardine.

Car camping in the summer months one has to deal with the "typical" car camping crowd. They would be more described as outdoor party types then actual campers. I would think that most on this site would prefer a back country type of trip. Even if one only hiked in a few kms and base camped for 2 nights on a trail that would be the preferable option. I pick hiking as it is the lowest common denominator for most people. Not everyone has a canoe or wants to spend the money to rent one for a weekend.

    Cheers

So you have the best chance of getting out for a group hang, dragon360, when is the best weekend for you?

    Cheers
