I tried to get the wife into a cuben tarp for a quite a while,,but she didn't want me spending the money,,last time we car camped at Balsam Mt. at 5300 ft. it rained super hard for about a hour one nite,,and she endured alittle misting thru her tarp which was 4 season silnylon and that was all it took at 48 degrees for her to jump the fence and tell me to get her a cuben tarp. Some people are just hard headed and need alittle coaxing into the reality of things I guess,,but she now has her cuben tarp and is a pound lighter in carrying weight. You will love HG's tarps when you get them Ewker. And I have had mine in a pretty good hail storm so far for durablity. Get the clear duc tape and maybe some cuben tape for repairs if the need ever arises and enjoy that cuben goodness.

I knew their tarps would be a great addition to all of the quilts we have from them. Thanks for the tip on the tape

    AWESOME their tarps are.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
