    New to it all

Hi, a complete noob here to hammock camping. The Shug got me hooked. I bought a grand trunk Skeeter beeter pro. Just wondered if this is a good hammock and what drawbacks it might have. I've hung in it once and woke up at 3 am with cold shoulders. Also I need a recomendation on a tarp, with doors. I will be hanging during hunting season this fall.

    Thanks -Bill

Welcome aboard from Florida. Shug has probably brought more folks aboard then anyone.

Welcome.....This has been a bit of a downward spiral for me! Underquilts are a great investment if you are going to be out much in the colder weather.

The kelty is a nice tarp. Wilderness Logic also has some great tarps. I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Welcome from NC!

Upstate NY winters may make you happy for tarp-doors ( usually not so much needed for Carolina winters though). Removable doors might be worth investigating too.
The vendors on this forum have been great, fast, and helpful for me.

First, welcome to the forums! Glad to have you here! What type of under insulation where you using when you got cold shoulders?
