I havent done it backpacking style yet but when I went to Costa Rica in 2008 I slept every night in a hammock in a "hut" with no AC, I truly appreciated the 360 degree air flow those nights.

First time ever was the night the police came to my yard, neighbor was spooked by the flashlights. I have gone out four more times since. Ten degrees Fahrenheit two nights ago and down to three the week before. We are using two pads, synthetic 20* bags, and a couple of JCP puffer down coats inside the bag for insulation. Still lots of learning and good times to come.
is roughly between 650 and 700 nights spread over 12 years.
I am rapidly approaching. 5 months straight in my jumbo Mayan hammock since I ditched my bed I also like to sleep in my DIY tablecloth hammock that is a double layer 90"x156" polyester tablecloth and the thing is pretty much bomb proof and super comfortable but is heavy as hell
I hang full time indoors since 2008 years november and that big ole Brazilian hammock still going strong! But slept outdoors ~10 nights only. Me needs to complete my hammock shelter system to be considered 3 season. Had been forced to sleep on bed at the temporary living place where i worked with chainsaw in forest, those nights seemed most uncomfortable for me.
